Tuesday, January 6, 1942 Enoch E. Byrum, 80, native of Jackson Township, Randolph County, and one of the founders of the Gospel Trumpet Publishing Co. died at 9:30 a. m. Monday at his residence in Anderson, following a serious illness of more than three weeks. Mr. Byrum was born in Jackson township, but left the community as a young man to make his home in Anderson. He was a member of the Church of God. Surviving besides the widow, Jucena, are one son and five daughters, none of whom reside in this vicinity, and one brother, Noah, of Anderson. Frank Byrum, of Union City, is a nephew of the deceased, and Mrs. Noah Banta, of Jackson township, is a niece of Mr. Byrum. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Park Place Church of God in Anderson. Burial will be at Anderson.
