This is the personal testimony of Pastor Jack Fareweather of The River Church in Littleton, Colorado.

I am a Vineyard pastor and I prayed for somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 people before I saw the Lord heal someone.  It’s not an exaggeration.  I gave my life to Jesus at a Vineyard church in 1999 and prayed for people regularly until November 2022 without seeing anyone healed.  They were real people.  Friends with cancer, children that died in my arms, each of the 10,000 was a person with real needs.  Over the last 15 months this has changed dramatically.  I’ve seen God move more supernaturally in the last week than in my first 23 years of Christianity, including 12 years as a missionary, combined.

I was a missionary in the Philippines for 12 years and in March of 2018 I started having severe neurological problems that almost killed me.  About a year after this I took some medication that chemically burned my digestive system and in a few months I went from 220 to 130 pounds.  I said goodbye to my wife and children 3 times and gave instructions for my wife for when I was gone.  In December of 2020 we finally made it back to the United States to try to get help.  The doctors were not any help.  One day around April 1^st of 2021 my 3 year old son wanted to try to hit a whiffle ball and I went to try to play with him.  In less than 10 minutes I had to go lay down.  My wife came in to the room and asked if she could pray for me, I told her she could but that it felt like a waste of time at that point.

A little over a week later I was home alone on April 12, 2021 and sitting on my bed in my in-laws’ house in Littleton, Colorado.  I put a song on the phone and began to connect with God for the first time in a long time.  I began to weep and asked God for something … anything.  I was 42 when I got sick and I didn’t want my life to be over.  I looked in the corner of the room and saw Jesus standing there.  I didn’t see him physically but it wasn’t just in my mind either, it was something in between.  I crawled out of bed and on to the floor and knelt before Him.  A cry came out of me that I can’t reproduce, and He healed me.  More than that He transformed me.  I realized coming out of that moment, if He could meet me in the room like that, with no one else there and with no faith for it, He could do it for anyone at any time.  He made it clear that I was to stay in Colorado and pastor the Vineyard church in Littleton, and I began an amazing journey with Him.
