One dear little lad, of very tender years, was brought by his mother to one of
Principal Jeffreys’ meetings at Forest Hill. For nearly three years he had suffered from
epileptic fits. He had been taken to several doctors, but was pronounced incurable, as the
trouble, it was stated, was of a hereditary nature. This dear child would have as many as
four fits per day, and the medical verdict was that as he grew older the fits would become worse, and that he might pass away in one of them. His mother, hearing of the wonders God was doing in the district, resolved to take her boy to be prayed for. He was
instantaneously healed. Mrs. Knowles adds: “You ask me, is the day of miracles past?”
My answer is, “Hallelujah! No! For my little boy is a miracle!” ‘ His mother describes
him as a sturdy little boy, the picture of health.’ ”
