Maria Woodworth-Etter Testimonies from 1895

Filed under: Notes and Updates - Healing and Revival Site — Admin @ 7:50 pm

We have located an unusual book titled “The World’s Physician, Christ the Lord or Five-Hundred Testimonies of Divine Healing in Answer to Prayer through the Ages” by H. H. Spiher and published in 1895. Spiher was actually a Church of God (Winebrenner) pastor who pastored two churches established by Maria Woodworth-Etter. This book was written as an apologetics work to support the ministry of healing through Etter. It includes many Etter healing reports, some of which we will include in the testimonies section of the Healing and Revival site. Spiher pointed to historical healing in the church, as well as contemporary healers such as Dr. Charles Cullis. This is a rare book and we were fortunate in having it lent to us.

Dr. Mina Ross Brawner

Filed under: Notes and Updates - Healing and Revival Site — Admin @ 5:27 pm

We’ve made an initial stab at a biography for Dr. Mina Ross Brawner. There are some conflicting dates that we are attempting to resolve and are waiting on articles by Brawner. We will continue to update this biography as we get more information. She is less well known in Pentecostal circles because she was associated with the Open Bible Standard Churches rather than a larger denomination.
