Mattie Perry was a Methodist Holiness evangelist who came into contact with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.  She subsequently added Divine Healing to her teaching.  She prayed for F. F. Bosworth, who had been sick for 8 years, and he was instantly healed.  He was so impacted that he became involved with John Alexander Dowie and took up the healing call.  Perry eventually joined pentecostal organizations and regularly held evangelistic and healing meetings.  She saw thousands healed in her lifetime. 

Velmer J. Gardner was one of the main Voice of Healing Evangelists.  We have added a biography and reference section for him.  He was also the brother-in-law to Clifton O. Erickson, another Voice of Healing Evangelist. 

We’ve worked to locate information on Louise Nankivell’s family background and fill out a little more information on her life.  Check out her updated biography.

Tommy Lee Osborn the well known healing evangelist went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2013.    The Charisma News Obituary is found below.

T.L. Osborn was born December 23, 1923 to Charles Richard Osborn and Mary (Brown) on the family farm in Pocasset, Oklahoma. He stepped through the veil into eternity peacefully, at home surrounded by four generations of his beloved family on February 14th 2013 shortly after asking His Lord Jesus, “Take me home!” He was 89.

Tommy married Daisy Marie Washburn on April 5, 1942 and together they carried the Gospel of Christ to tens of millions of unreached people in over 100 nations declaring with faith and confidence, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” They pioneered many successful methods of evangelism that have become commonplace today.

He is survived by his daughter, LaDonna Carol and her husband Cory Nickerson of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Tommy O’Dell and wife Elisabeth of Tulsa OK, LaVona Thomas and husband Randy of Sand Springs, OK, Donald O’Dell and wife Carina of Aurora, CO, Cassie Waldo and husband Marty of Winona, MN, Kimberly Wichelt and husband Ted of LaCrosse, WI; 22 great grandchildren, 14 boys and 8 girls; three great great grandchildren, two girls and one boy; two sisters, Verna Reed of Mannford, OK and Frankie Funkhouser of Pawnee, OK and a large host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

We’ve made some minor additions to Charles Parham’s biography.  We’ve also added some excellent links to the reference section under his biography.  This includes the book by his wife Sarah Parham titles “The Life of Charles F. Parham.”

We’ve added some links to video footage of McPherson and documentaries about her life.  These can be found on the reference page under McPherson’s biography. 

We’ve added “Sickness and the Gospel” by Otto Stockmayer on the reference page for his biography.   This work was highly influential in the Divine Healing Movement of the late 1800s.  We’ve also added Elizabeth Baker’s “Chronicles of a Faith Life”  on the reference page under her biography.  This hard to come by book shows the influence that Elizabeth Baker and her sisters had on the early Pentecostal Movement they were helping to pioneer. 

We’ve added a testimony of a woman healed through the prayers of William Branham and another of a man miraculously raised from the dead.  Enjoy!
